New to the Band.. Recommendations? [17 Apr 2006|03:01am]
I just joined this community after finding out about Days Away =]
I heard their song "You Were Right" and fell in love with it.
Any recommendations of good songs to listen to?
I found You were Right because of a crazy 30 second clip my friend recorded when William of TAI came onstage and sang with them.
But now I'm hooked, because Days' music is good.

[ mood | bored ]

This is my first time posting here. I found the song Knows My Name online somewhere and fell in love with it. I bought the cd a few weeks later. Then it just so happened that like one month later Days Away came to my town for a show, so I got to see them.

Anyway, does anyone know where I can download the music video for Knows My Name?

Pleae sign this! (even if you don't know what it is, just sign!) [03 Sep 2005|01:38am]

i'm sure, not many of you have ever been to the Harmony Grange in Wilmington, DE but it is one of the places I go to for shows all the time. The owners are considering not allowing the tenants use of the building anymore. (HIPV, Mae, The Early November, Brand New, Bear Vs. Shark, The Sleeping, Houston Calls, Dat At The Fair and many other bands have played shows at this venue several times in the past and I, along with several hundred others, was looking forward to seeing them play there in the future.) If you could just add your name to this petition it would be greatly appreciated by all of us Delaware kids who have nothing to do as it is. It may not change the minds of the owners, but we're all going to give it our best shot! If you don't do this for anyone, do it for the sake of spreading good music.

Jessica from DE

(if this sort of thing isn't allowed, just delete this post. I was just hoping other music lovers might help us Delawareans out...)

HELL I WILL DO THIS EASY ENOUGH! and you know even if it "doesnt work" its EASY (dena)

Body: Read & Follow if you want cheaper gas
Body: I hear we are going to hit close to $3.00 a gallon by the end of summer. Want gasoline prices to come down? We need to take some intelligent, united action

Phillip Hollsworth, offered this good idea:

This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don't buy gas on a certain day" campaign that was going around last April or May!

The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to "hurt" ourselves by refusing to buy gas. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them. BUT, whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can really work.

Please read it and join with us!

By now you're probably thinking gasoline priced at about $1.50 is super cheap. Me too! It is currently $2.75 for regular unleaded in my town.

Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a gallon of gas is CHEAP at $1.50-$1.75, we need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the marketplace.... not sellers.

With the price of gasoline going up more each day, we consumers need to take action. The only way we are going to see the price of gas come down is if we hit someone in the pocketbook by not purchasing their gas!

And we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves.

How? Since we all rely on our cars, we can't just stop buying gas. But we CAN have an impact on gas prices if we all act together to force a price war.

Here's the idea:

For the rest of this year, DON"T purchase ANY gasoline from the two biggest companies (which now are one), EXXON and MOBIL. If they are not selling any gas, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit.

But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of Exxon and Mobil gas buyers. It's really simple to do!! Now, don't whimp (sic) out on me at this point... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!

I am sending this note to about thirty people. If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers!

If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it..... THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!! Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people and DON"T purchase ANY gasoline from EXXON and MOBIL. That's all.

How long would all that take? If each of us sends this email out to ten more people within one day of receipt, all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next 8 days!!! I'll bet you didn't think you and I had that much potential, did you! Acting together we can make a difference.

If this makes sense to you, please pass this message on.

Oh Geeze [14 Jul 2005|07:09pm]

[ mood | geeky ]

HEY ALL! I'm new here and everything. Well 2 days ago I bought the new Days Away CD "Mapping an Invisible World" with my birthday money and my friend came over yesterday and bought me the CD also. So I wanted to sell the CD. Since I bought it for $16.99 I guess I should seel it for about 10 dollars? I don't if that's fair or not I can like negotiate and everything lol.

[01 Jul 2005|01:37pm]

So I have a question.
If anyone has msn, could you maybe send me the songs off the days away cd.
I want to have the cd before I see them.
But if I order it, I won't get it until after I see them.
So I'm planning on just buying the cd at the concert.
So thanks to anyone who can help me.

Days Away In Store performance! [13 May 2005|12:30pm]

Here is a quick little review of Days Away's CD Release In Store from this past tuesday:

"Tower South St. was packed for yesterday's Days Away in-store appearence. I got back to the store 15 minutes or so before the advertised start time, and there had to be 100+ kids filling in the aisles and staircase above where the band was set up. Apparently they had all just showed up as well. More kept pouring in as the band was preparing to start. After some technical difficulties, the band played a half hour set of songs from the new CD. That was followed by an autograph session on the opposite side of the store. At the end of the day, the store had sold 92 out of the 99 copies that were in stock!"

Fueled By Ramen is very excited to be attending this year's The Bamboozle in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Pretty much every band on the planet is playing this incredible three-day festival on the Jersey shore (including eight Fueled By Ramen bands). We don't want you to miss any of them, so here is the info on all of their performances.

Make sure you stop by the FBR booth on the second floor of the Convention Hall. We'll have specially priced CDs from your favorite FBR bands as well as free CD samplers, pins and other goodies. We'll also be running a special FBR Scavenger Hunt where you can win some awesome prizes from Fueled By Ramen, Clandestine Industries and Monkey vs. Robot. Stop by the booth for more info and to pick up your game piece. See you there!

We're also running a special scavenger hunt / word jumble on Saturday and Sunday. Each FBR band will have one code word at their merch booth and one code word on stage with them at their performance. Your job is to find each word to solve the puzzle and win some awesome prizes.
